The Quality Control Lab Technician oversees the quality of all products and will be responsible for creating procedures to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that products are not contaminated by bacteria or other pathogens.
Test products for contaminants.
Check that products meet government regulations.
Test foods to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
Understand the laboratory setting and equipment.
Work in a laboratory setting with microorganisms or chemicals.
Work effectively with team members.
Track production and downtime, analyze data.
Assist in sanitation procedures as necessary.
Product batching and batch tracking.
Line monitoring and confirmation of all quality standards.
Support continuous improvement plans
Qualifications:
College level education or equivalent experience or relevant pursuit of study in a related area a plus Prior experience performing basic lab activities Ability to work self-directed and with a team with solid communication and interpersonal skills Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office applications Ability to learn and understand Good Manufacturing Practices and HAACP principles Ability to focus on work place safety, high quality while performing duties with a sense of urgency Job Type:
